The 2020 holiday season is definitely going to look and feel different – already does! There may not be any in-person gatherings with your colleagues or festive parties to attend this year yet the spirit still remains, in full holiday force!
Christmas and the season overall is one of my favourites, from the snowy streets at night with flickering lights to the beautiful decorations that bestow our cities. Now more than ever, we need to embrace the simple things to allow ourselves to feel good and brighten our spirit!
Holiday dressing, an easy way to lift our spirits and bring some extra joy to our day to day during lockdown. I often say dress the way you want to feel and this year a sense of that extra little something can help our mood.
Glamour and more glamour is what I love (always!)..and even this style can be transitioned into this year’s holiday style lookbook though it’s a little atypical. As a mantra, you should always wear your clothes rather than have them wear you and this season we will find our holiday attire is more wearable. It should still feel polished and elevated, and as you’ve heard me say before…remember fit is everything.
Whatever your occasions may look like this year, virtual or small bubble gatherings, don’t shy away from luscious fabrics like velvet, embellishments and florets or sequins and beading. Rich fabrics and patterns can make this year’s looks feel like you are stepping out to that fabulous party. The below pieces are interchangeable and can be paired and mixed with one another – may all your styles stay cozy, festive, and merry!
