Spring has sprung!
Well, sort of. We did just have a snow fall last week and I read about a Polar Vortex … in MAY!!! But let’s stay positive.
Warmer temperatures are on their way and one of the things I look forward to is wearing sandals with a fresh pedicure. That being said, while I attempt a DIY pedicure the results are certainly not like those of a professional. My go to solution for footwear these days for a number of reasons is the trusted loafer. They can even withstand a polar vortex in the month of May!
The loafer has transformed over the years from the classic “penny” to backless also known as “slides” or “mules” and bedazzled complete with embroidery or beaded accents – like a dressed up slipper.
With the shifting wardrobe choices due to isolation and social distancing loafers work with so many looks and are ideal for every situation.
From working at home to running those necessary errands or going for a walk.
They look polished and they’re comfortable – a win/win!
Pair them with denim and a blouse, a blazer and athleisure pants or that summer dress you are dying to wear.
The wonderful thing about the loafer is no matter what length of the dress or skirt – short, midi or long – it just works!
I am a heels kind of girl but this effortless, chic and classic footwear choice does put the spring in my step.
Whether I’m in the mood for minimalist or a pearl/crystal embellished look, the options are limitless.
Think Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly – the epitome of class!
